About (ti)won

"When did you start?"
We've been online since some point in 1999, when Sean put a menacing clown online to test his ability to do html.

"Is (ti)won a record label or a website?"
It's both and it's neither. This site started as a way for Sean to document his interests, his past/present/future artistic ideas, and anything else he might deem useful to the vast amount of net junkies who cared. Then (ti)won became the de facto portal for NMVGPTS, which he is a member of. We released the two NMVGPTS recordings under (ti)won, but we'd like to think the moniker is more of a general community which can collect any sort of creative endeavor under a inclusive and flexible philosophy. What we can tell you is that it's not really a business. We usually operate at a loss and any cash that is made goes right back out the door into contributing to site costs or recording costs for whomever needs it, and it's never covered the costs adequately. This is pretty standard for DYI, which we believed in back when we were kids and still do.

What happened to [insert page that no longer seems to be featured at (ti)won]?
Why has the NMVGPTS page been moved to the site's background?

The content has changed with the needs and resources of the times and we will continue to be flexible in this way. Currently, the NMVGPTS section is one of a few featured artist sections. We are adding more artists as they join the community. Artwork and writing will be featured as well as music and sound manipulation (for those who don't think all sound is music). There will also be a historical component to the site, where you can listen to the music made by members of current artists featured at (ti)won.

"Why don't you have any eCommerce options/fancier technical features
Why is this website seem to never be finished or always a little messed up?"

This site is maintained mostly by Sean, with contributions from other folks as they have time. He has a day job/night job/weekend job, a family, and thusis not blessed with shitloads of time, nor is he finacially sound nor technically up-to-date. Be patient, he'd love to see things at (ti)won to be better too.
